“You are a good nymph, love.” Liam bent and pressed a kiss to her forehead. “I am proud of everything you have done.”
At his words, Ari smiled. She liked pleasing him—more than just sexually, as it turned out. Having him say he was proud of her—a girl who had been clueless about what she wanted out of life not too long ago—made her feel all fuzzy inside.
“We’ll need to send word to Lon,” she said, plans already forming for how this would work. “I think they can skip the usual meet and greet. We’ll just shove them in the cave and let nature take its course.”
A troubled expression crossed Liam’s face. “The cave might not be the best place to send them,” he said slowly.
Fuck. He was right. The cave was the place where the mating contract had gone down. Liam had been forced to face the memories and banish them because he’d had nowhere else to go at the time, but that might not be the best place for a first date.
