Ari could feel it in her bones. She could also see it whenever Michael glanced in her direction, a too innocent look on his handsome face.
That rat was up to something. No. He was in on whatever Liam was hiding. Both he and Akakios were going to get the sharp edge of her tongue. Soon.
Michael and Ella had come over around noon. Ella’s wide smile as she pulled her aside to look over applications with her hadn’t been enough to stop Ari’s suspicious glances in Liam’s direction. Yep, her tentacled honey, the werewolf, and the minotaur were huddling again.
Dammit.
They were definitely up to something.
