First Line Friday – Ghost of a Chance

Posted November 20, 2015 by Kelly Apple in First Line Friday, Pinnacle Point / 2 Comments

FLF-BlackChance is almost here! To celebrate, let’s see how his first meeting with a pretty stranger went…

“The labs don’t open until nine.”

Chance froze. Seeing as how he was invisible, there was no way that had been directed at him. Yet when he turned, he found a sprite with pink hair staring directly at him as she tapped her foot.

“Yes, I’m talking to you, Mr. Ghost.”

Running through his options, Chance figured there were two ways this could go. He could take her words as a warning and beat a hasty retreat or he could go solid and see what the delectable little morsel’s name was.

He liked the sound of option B.

Willing himself solid, he grinned at the pink-haired woman. “Howdy, sweetheart.”

The sprite rolled her eyes. “Please. If you use that fake accent again, I’ll relocate your balls into your throat.”

That was mildly offensive. His accent hadn’t been that bad.
